Dogs lose to Blizzard 4-3

Filed under: Game Notes — mmaxwell @ 6:08 pm

In a game with great stops by both keepers, the Dogs came out on the losing end agaist the Blizzard for the second time this season.  The game was a much better one for the Dogs than the first one though, coming back in the third to make it close.  Great job to Otto in keep (48 shots and some nice glove saves), Mason with his 4th goal of the season, Manderson with a nice put back, and Colbert with a nifty break away coming out of the box.

The Dogs have a short week coming up with a late 10:20pm start against the Tigers on Thursday this week.

Sled Dogs Apparel

Filed under: Game Notes — mmaxwell @ 7:11 am

This came up a little after the game last week, but here are folks’ options right now for Sled Dogs apparel etc.  We have some t-shirts still available from a purchase a couple of years ago, all are Large in either White, Gray, or Light Blue.  Also, there is a link from the front page of SledDogsHockey.com to the cafepress site, where you can order a variety of Sled Dogs gear.

If folks want to get together another order for different merchandise, post a comment here or let one of the captains know and we can do that.

Dogs lose to Sting 5-3 at Coliseum

Filed under: Game Notes — mmaxwell @ 9:42 am

The Sled Dogs started out slow yesterday afternoon falling behind 1-4 in the first period, but then rallied to win the next two periods 2-1.  Unfortunately it was not enough to beat the talented Sting.

Highlights of the game included Worre’s first tag of the season and two more goals for leading points getter Goldenman.  TJ is doing better now after taking a puck under the half-shield in the first period.  Check it out below.

The dogs have a week to recover before playing Shameonice this Saturday at SLP East.
